The 2016 Volkswagen Sharan is a minivan manufactured by Volkswagen. The first ever Sharan was introduced in 1995 making the new and improved 2016 Sharan, part of the second generation minivan line-up.
The exact details for the exterior have not yet been disclosed by Volkswagen yet. But we do know that the front and rear lights have been updated with fancy looking LED inserts. The 2016 Volkswagen Sharan is available with different choices of petrol and diesel engines. The diesel engine will be a 2.0 liter turbo charged direct injection engine. This engine will be available in 3 power degrees; 115 PS (113 horsepower), 150 PS (148 horsepower) and 184 PS (181 horsepower). The other two options are of a 1.4 liter TSI petrol engine which produces 150 PS (148 horsepower). The last petroleum based engine option is of a 2.0 liter TSI engine which can produce 220 PS (216 horsepower).
All the engines will be connected to a 6 speed transmission dual-clutch gearbox, with the exception of the 115 PS producing diesel engine. The estimated fuel economy is 7.1 – 4.9 combined. This minivan isn’t to perky, from 0-60 mph it goes for a full 10.0 seconds with top speed of 121 mph.

The 2016 Volkswagen Sharan release date will be in German markets in April, as a 2016 year model.
