The all new 2016 Lincoln Navigator is a full sized SUV. The SUV is produced by Lincoln, which is a Luxury car manufacturing wing, under the Ford Motors. The original Navigator was introduced in 1998, and according to a latest Lincoln update, the 2016 Navigator will mark the start of its fourth generation.
2016 Lincoln Navigator Changes, Exterior
The exterior for the new Navigator is carefully and stylishly designed. The SUV will feature a 2015’s Ford F-150 based aluminum body kit. The aluminum body will help reduce around 700 pounds of the SUV’s weight. The manufacturers have not tampered with the exterior a lot, just a bit of touch-up were given, but the overall look was unchanged. The unique design holds a type of exemplary image; the manufacturers believe that if it were to be changed, the Navigator will lose its true identity and traditional looks. Its most noticed feature is its larger split grille with the Lincoln logo in the middle. The grille is standard for all Lincoln models, but it is not favored a lot.

The seats can accommodate around 8 passengers and are covered with premium quality leather, held together with contrast stitching. The steering wheel is also covered with premium leather too. The interior is offered in a unique grain pattern, wood veneer trim. The same is found and used for yachts and boats. The vehicle is equipped with “MyLincoln” touch system which allows easy access to entertainment functions and simple voice commands. The touch system will also have an electric speed-o-meter, which will provide a better display of the engine’s speed.
2016 Lincoln Navigator Horsepower, mpg, Engine
The SUV is equipped with a 3.5 liter Ecoboost V6 engine and a newly introduce 6 speed automatic transmission. The 3.5 liter can produce 430 pound-feet of torque and generate 370 horsepower. The new Lincoln Navigator engine will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 10 seconds while generating a speed of 120 mph. The fuel economy was recorded to be around 22 mpg combined. Currently the engine is connected with a 6 speed transmission, but as it is still in the production phase, so an 8 speed transmission might be featured at the time of its launch. Other specs have not yet been revealed but rumor has it, that a 3.6 liter hybrid engine which will provide better fuel economy will also be featured with the 3.5 liter Ecoboost base engine.

2016 Lincoln Navigator Release Date and Price
The next generation Lincoln Navigator full-size SUV will be available for sale in the second quarter of the 2016. The price, however, will range around the 40 thousand dollar mark.
